A popular restaurant serving up Chinese cuisine, where customers could get a little taste of “bliss” is now closed.

Streetsville has said goodbye to Bliss Chinese Cuisine restaurant after an eight year run.

Located at 6485 Mississauga Road —this modern fine-dining establishment with an east meets west concept, specialized in Chinese seafood, dim sum and BBQ.

There was a variety of food options and price points, including their lunch special which was $13.95.

The lunch special order included a choice of a vegetable spring roll, wonton soup or hot and sour soup, chicken fried rice and nine entrée options such as the BBQ pork and duck combo, General Tao chicken and more.

The Bliss menu also catered to vegetarians who could choose from over 20 different options.

The ambiance featured an open concept design with high ceilings and natural sunlight that brightened the space during the dim sum lunch rush. A  fireplace installation was near the front windows

On the busiest days the space could serve up to 350 guests and included a section for VIP.

It even made you feel like you were in seafood heaven, as the restaurant had a fresh water tank with fish, lobster and crab.

A BBQ display case was also available, so customers could see all the cuts of meat that were barbequed in house.

Their signature menu items included King Lobster, Vancouver Crab, Alaska King Crab, Live Green Bass, Suckling Pig and Peking Duck.
