CLOSURE: One of the best steakhouses in Canada closes permanently in Mississauga, Ontario

A high-end steakhouse has permanently closed in Mississauga.
In a post on Instagram, 17 Steakhouse and Bar at 5165 Dixie Rd. in Mississauga announced it has closed permanently.
The restaurant was known for its sizzling steaks and fine-dining ambiance. Many customers celebrated special occasions such as birthdays and anniversaries in the fine-dining restaurant.
The announcement came yesterday (Feb. 21) and the restaurant’s last day was Feb. 18.
“Dear cherished guests, it is with mixed emotions that we announce the permanent closure of 17 Steakhouse and Bar after an incredible 9-year journey,” the post reads.
“We are immensely grateful for your loyal patronage, making each dining experience memorable,” the post continues. “The decision wasn’t easy, but we close with gratitude for the amazing community that supported us.”

There was no reason given for the closure.
Recent reviews on Google indicate the restaurant was not full at times and people complained about the high prices.
But there were also many positive reviews praising the elegant atmosphere and delicious food.
And 17 Steakhouse and Bar has closed with a classy final message.
“While our doors may be closed, the memories and appreciation linger. Thank you for being a vital part of our story.”
