One person suffered life-threatening injuries following a crash north of Brampton on Wednesday morning.
Emergency crews responded to the collision at approximately 7:45 a.m. on Highway 9 between Highway 50 and Duffy’s Lane in Caledon, the Ontario Provincial Police said.
A transport truck and a sedan collided, police said.
Police said the driver of the sedan was transported to hospital suffering from life-threatening injuries.
Highway 9 between Highway 50 and Humber Station Road was closed for several hours while the OPP Traffic Incident Management & Enforcement (TIME) Team assisted with the investigation.
In an update at 9:30 a.m., the OPP said Highway 9 remained fully closed between Highway 50 and Humber Station Road. The closure is expected to last for at least several more hours while the on-site investigation continues, police said.
In an update, police said the highway reopened just after 8 p.m. on Wednesday.
