Update: At 9:18 a.m, the OPP said Highway 401 eastbound at Kipling Avenue, and the ramp from Dixon Road had reopened following a serious collision.
Two individuals suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
The investigation is ongoing.

Highway 401 lanes were closed due to a fiery crash in Toronto on Sunday morning.
All eastbound lanes were closed before Kipling Avenue due to a two-vehicle crash and vehicle fire, the Ontario Provincial Police said just before 7 a.m.
As of 8:30 a.m., the on-ramp to Highway 401 eastbound from Dixon Road was closed, police said.
Two people were transported to hospital, the extent of their injuries is not yet known, the OPP said.
Just before 8 a.m., police said some existing traffic is being routed around the collision on the shoulder.
Drivers should plan alternate routes, police said.
