Update: Highway 401 eastbound and westbound, and the Highway 409 ramp fully had reopened by 8:30 a.m., the OPP said.
Backups may persist as traffic volume clears, police said.

Highway 401 was closed due to a crash in Toronto during the Monday morning commute.
Emergency crews responded to a collision involving a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle in the eastbound lanes of Highway 401, and a multi-vehicle collision on Highway 401 westbound, the Ontario Provincial Police said at around 6:20 a.m.
No life-threatening injuries were reported at this time, police said.
The eastbound lanes were fully closed at Kipling Avenue in Etobicoke, the OPP said. The collector lanes remained open.
The Highway 409 eastbound ramp to Highway 401 express was also closed at Kipling Avenue, police said.
Two lanes of Highway 401 westbound express approaching Highway 400 were closed.
