CLOSURE: Here are the 41 Beer Stores closing in August and September in Ontario

Numerous Beer Stores have closed amid the expanded alcohol marketplace in Ontario and dozens more closures have been announced for the coming months.

Earlier this week, The Beer Store announced plans to shut 11 stores on Sept. 28, bringing the total to 41 closures in August and September.

Ten stores are set to close on Aug. 10, another 10 on Aug. 24, and an additional 10 on Sept. 14, before the 11 on Sept. 28.

“The Beer Store is adapting to changes in the retail market in Ontario. This is an ongoing process and includes making the difficult decision to close some retail locations,” said Ozzie Ahmed, the vice president of retail at The Beer Store, in the release about the round of closures slated for Sept. 28.

“We know this is difficult for customers, employees and the communities where we operate.”

Here is a list of the locations that The Beer Store said will be closing in August and September:
