Families hoping to spend some time at a new play place in Mississauga might be disappointed to see that it has closed.

That said, signage on the storefront suggests the closure is temporary.

GYGO (Get Your Game On!), an innovative games concept produced by Los Angeles-based Kilburn Live, opened the family entertainment venue in the former Playdium location in the Square One area on March 25.

A sign on the facility’s front door thanks patrons for their support and says GYGO is “closed for the season and we hope to see you again in 2024.”

The temporary closure, which is also reflected on Square One’s website, has not been mentioned on GYGO’s official website or social media accounts.

Insauga.com has reached out to GYGO for more information.

Once it opened, GYGO quickly became known for a range of activities, including go-karts, a holodome, outdoor laser tax, rock ‘n’ roll mini golf and more. It was also home to the popular touring attraction NERF Challenge–The Ultimate NERF Playground.

Toronto Maple Leafs goalie Jack Campbell and forward Michael Bunting were present at a special media-only event in March that was not open to the public.

The playplace also boasted private rooms for birthday parties.

No reopening date has been announced.
