Update: Police said one adult has been pronounced dead following a crash in Brampton.

Two people were injured in a crash in Brampton on Saturday afternoon.
In an update at 3:23 p.m., police said one person had died.
Emergency crews responded to the two-vehicle collision at Dixie Road and Queen Street shortly before 1:30 p.m., Peel Regional Police said on X.
Paramedics transported two adults to a local hospital, police said. Reports from the scene indicate Brampton Fire and Emergency Services extricated the two patients.
Reports indicate a third person was transported to hospital with minor injuries.
There was heavy damage to one vehicle.

As of 2:30 p.m., the Queen Street and Dixie Road intersection was closed in all directions, police said.

Police asked drivers to use alternate routes.
