Through the rest of the summer all across Canada, people will be converging on lawn bowling clubs to raise money for charity.

Called “Lawn Summer Nights,” the event is a combination of “good vibes, great people, cold drinks, tasty food, music, prizes and the classic game of Lawn Bowling, all in support of Cystic Fibrosis Canada,” say the organizers.

The Glenridge Lawn Bowling Club (84 Glen Morris Dr.) in St. Catharines is joining in the fun this year on August 11 from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.

As it’s a fundraiser, it costs $300 for a team of four, which also includes dinner. It’s a 19-year-old-plus event because there’ll be ice cold drinks at cheap prices.

On top of that, there’ll be entertainment, DJs, on-site games, giveaways and raffles with some fantastic prizes and best of all, the chance to play and become Niagara’s Lawn Summer Nights lawn bowling champions.

The closing registration date is August 4 and for more information, check HERE.
