Clarington opens ‘citizen-centric’ ground floor Town Hall

The Municipality of Clarington has unveiled a newly renovated citizen-centric ground floor at Town Hall to enhance customer service for residents.

The new one-stop shop brings front-line staff from throughout the building to the main floor to help residents access our services all in one place.

“I am very proud of the way staff worked together to create this citizen-centric ground floor. With their skill and expertise, we transformed the main floor on time and within budget,” said Clarington CAO Mary-Anne Dempster. “Residents will find it more streamlined and convenient to have Planning and Infrastructure Services, Legislative Services, and Financial Services all on the main floor.”

Front-line staff from throughout the building are now on one level and ready to help. Some of the services that can be accessed include payments (property taxes, parking tickets, etc.), permits and licensing (building permits, marriage licences) and general information about municipal services.

Here’s how to find your way to the right counter:

Wickets 1, 2 and 3 – Planning and Infrastructure Services

  • Licensing
  • Marriage Licences and Ceremonies
  • Parking Tickets and Parking Passes

General inquiries can be brought to any staff on the main floor.
