Clarington Mayor Adrian Foster wants residents to get involved in helping craft the municipality’s new strategic plan.

The new strategic plan is a roadmap to the key initiatives that Clarington wants to achieve and will impact how residents “live, work, and play” in the future — from recreation programs to new neighbourhoods.

Foster assured residents elected officials are listening and will work with municipal staff to turn their vision into reality. “Input from Clarington residents is essential to help ensure that it reflects the priorities and issues important to the community.”

“We need to hear from you on important municipal matters.”

The last strategic plan was drafted in 2018. Since then, Clarington’s population has boomed and now is an estimated 110,000 people – 20,000 or so residents more than a decade ago.

The plan will guide Clarington for the next four years and beyond and residents can help shape their community by completing a short survey until Friday, March 10.
