The Civic Holiday in Mississauga falls on Monday, August 7 this year, with a number of places, businesses and services closed on that day.

While government buildings and services will be closed, many businesses will remain open on Aug. 7. However, it’s best to call ahead or check online to confirm what businesses are open.

• The Food District at Square One
• Walmart Supercentre at Square One
• Most stores and restaurants at Heartland Town Centre
• Erin Mills Town Centre (10 am to 6 pm)
• Dixie Outlet Mall (7 am to 3 pm)
• Most grocery stores (including Rabba grocery stores)
• Most bars and restaurants that are typically open on Mondays
• The Beer Store locations at 1550 Dundas St. E., 2458 Dundas St. W., 5800 McLaughlin Rd. and 3154 Hurontario St.
• Some LCBO stores (call/check ahead of time)
• Most Shoppers Drug Marts
• Movie theatres
