The City of Burlington has teamed up with Tim Hortons to offer free swimming and skating on next week’s PA day, as well as during the winter break.

Friday, Nov. 26, is a PA day for both the Halton public and Catholic school boards and there will be four hours of free swimming and four and a half hours of skating

“We are grateful to have a community partner that supports our community and sees the value in providing free, accessible recreation to everyone,” said Chris Glenn, director of Recreation, Community and culture.

“Recreation can have a tremendous impact on a person’s life, whether it is their growing years or as an older adult. Recreation is for everyone.”

During the winter break, there will be more than 20 hours of free swimming and 74 hours of skating for residents.

For all days and activities, pre-registration is required and opens 25-hours in advance for residents and two hours for non-residents. Everyone older than 12 requires proof of vaccination and ID and must complete the online screening.

For more information on dates and times and to register, visit the city’s website.
