The City of Burlington has announced certain recreational programs will not be happening on Thursday (September 30).

In observation of National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, some City-run programs, including private music lessons; adult programs, including in-person, drop-in, and virtual; Book-a-Court; TelePALs; and student theatre will be rescheduled or cancelled so participants and staff can use the day for reflection and education.

All other programs and rentals will continue to run as scheduled.

A single makeup lesson will be held for music and student theatre classes, while participants of adult programs will receive a refund for the cost of the class.

All those who are affected will be notified by email.
