The City of Burlington is doing a call out for local artists, performers, cultural professionals and creative organizations to host free online events and activities during the annual Culture Days festival.

For the past 12 years in a row, the festival has offered an interactive four-week schedule of activities. This year, it invites everyone to participate and show their appreciation for arts and culture in their community and nationwide.

This year’s theme is “RE:IMAGINE” which will explore new ideas in arts and culture while also “committing to building tangible change in the sector and society.”

The festival will offer a combination of in-person events along with digital and self-guided programming due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Those who are interested in hosting a Culture Days event must register online at culturedays.ca.

Event organizers may be eligible for funding through the Community Support Fund, which is a one-time per year funding program that combines existing grant programs to provide financial support to those who want to connect the Burlington community through sport, recreation, art and cultural experiences.

The event will kick off on Sept. 24 and will run until Oct. 24.
