Hockey fans may be interested to know that a former NHL hockey player will be visiting the City of Brampton this weekend.

On Sunday, Feb. 26, the City of Brampton will be hosting a meet and greet with Canadian former professional hockey player, Darcy Tucker.

Tucker, who was born and raised in Alberta, began his NHL career with the Montreal Canadiens and played with the Toronto Maple Leafs for the majority of his career.

The meet and greet will take place at Duggan Park from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. and will offer residents the opportunity to meet the former hockey player and play mini sticks.

Following the meet and greet, residents may then head over to Gore Meadows Ice Rink for a free public skate from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

“Save the date, #Brampton! You’re invited to a meet and greet with hockey legend, @16DarcyTucker on February 26,” wrote the City of Brampton on Twitter.
