Children’s illustrator Emma FitzGerald is the guest speaker at tomorrow’s Canadian Children’s Book Week event being hosted by Burlington Public Library.

FitzGerald brings a fresh approach to drawing and storytelling and kids ages 8 to 12 are invited to join the virtual Drawing & Storytelling workshop, live on Zoom, Saturday, May 7, at 10 a.m.

The author will talk about her latest illustration project, “City Streets are for People” written by Andrea Curtis, and her artwork process from start to finish.

She’ll then shares some drawing tips and sketching exercises for you to try at home, so make sure you have 3-4 pieces of blank paper, pen, pencil, crayons or markers for the hands-on workshop.

Registration closes 60 minutes before the program begins. You will receive Zoom details by email when you register.
