Emergency crews were able to brig a child, found without vital signs after being struck by a falling tree at an Oshawa elementary school Thursday, back to life, with Air ORNGE called to take the boy to a Toronto trauma centre.
Police and paramedics responded to Phillip Coffey Catholic School at 12:10 p.m. today after the youth was hit by a tree.
Medical assistance was rendered, police said, and the youth regained consciousness. Air ORNGE was queued and transported the boy to a Toronto in serious condition.
Officers remain on scene to investigate the circumstances of the incident.
