A child inside a home in Brampton was sent to hospital after a driver struck the house.

The driver hit two parked cars at Edenbrook Hill Drive and Bovaird Drive West and then a home in Brampton just before midnight on Monday (May 1), Peel Regional Police said in a tweet.

A girl inside the home was sent to hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police said. A male passenger in the vehicle also went to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

As of around 1 a.m., police were searching for the driver who fled on foot.

He is described as a South Asian man, five-feet-five inches tall with black hair.

The suspect had “blood on his face” and was running with a limp, police said.
