Child in life-threatening condition after being struck by vehicle in Mississauga: Police

A child is in life-threatening condition after being struck by a vehicle in Mississauga.

Peel police say the child was struck in the Erin Mills Pkwy. and Battleford Rd. area around 1:15 pm on April 9. 

The vehicle remained on the scene. 

Police say the child is being transported to a trauma centre in life-threatening condition.

Road closures are in place and commuters are asked to use alternate routes.

Police say that two children were struck. A 13-year-old girl sustained minor injuries and a 10-year-old girl remains at a trauma centre in life-threatening condition.

Witnesses or those with dash cam footage are asked to call investigators.
