Apparently, there’s only one problem with the sandwiches at Cheryl’s Deli & Subs in Niagara Falls. Finishing them.

Owner Cheryl Craftchick and her happy staff piled so much delicious fresh deli meat and home-cooked goodness onto a sub that even a linebacker could struggle with it.

After it’s official Grand Opening in late-September, there are many days where Cheryl’s is lined up out the door and onto the sidewalk outside her 4912 Victoria Avenue food-stop.

And the reviewers rave about the business. “The bakery buns were so buttery soft and delicious – no need to even toast them. Fresher and more affordable than anything you’ll get from a fast food place. Highly recommended!” said one.

Have been an almost daily customer. Never once regretted that decision. Great food! Great prices! Especially enjoy her homemade chilli and soups. Her soup is loaded with vegetables but not salt!” said another.

“One of the best subs I’ve ever had. Let me rephrase that – the best sub I’ve ever had,” said a third. “Fresh buns, fresh cold cuts sliced right there made to order fair prices. What more can you ask for in a sub. And the staff so friendly. If I could give more stars I would!”

Since the customers have pouring into her place daily, a few times Cheryl has had to post that they’ve run out of buns (she gets them in fresh daily) and closed early.

Despite the fact she’s an astute business person who understands demand (and can order accordingly), sometimes the sheer amount of people who pour in there, well, even Cheryl can’t keep ahead of it.

The good news is you can buy your fresh deli meat there if she’s running low and make your own sandwiches. The downside is… they won’t be as good.

Cheryl’s Deli & Sub is located at 4912 Victoria Avenue in Niagara Falls, less than 10 minutes from downtown. Phone 289-501-3674. Hours are 10 am to 7 pm Monday to Saturday, closed Sunday.
