Cheap Eats: Known for its variety of bagels in Mississauga

Those who like bagels (and are on a budget!) may be interested in trying this spot in Mississauga that’s known for its affordable variety of sweet and savoury bagels.

Old Bagel House, located at 235 Lakeshore Rd. East, is known for its fresh Montreal-style bagels which are made in-house daily.

Along with its variety of savoury bagel flavours including sesame, plain, everything, whole wheat and garlic, this spot also features sweet options such as cinnamon raisin, coconut and even chocolate chip.

The bagel spot’s menu also features an assortment of cream cheese flavours including chive, herb and garlic, salmon and jalapeño.

For roughly a dollar, guests can order an individual bagel or purchase half a dozen for only $7.55 plus tax.

The menu also features mini bagels which can be purchased individually or by the half dozen for $5.99 plus tax.

Old Bagel House also offers twisted bagels and sandwiches (including breakfast!) that can be individualized with additional toppings or paired with coffee or tea.

Since seating is limited, guests often take their items to go and eat them outside, at home or in their cars.

If you’re looking to get dibs on specific flavours, though, make sure to go early since it tends to be busy before 10:30 a.m.
