Changes coming to six Brampton Transit routes starting next month

As of November 1, Brampton Transit is adjusting the routes for the 501 Züm Queen, the 4 and 4A Chinguacousy, the 5 Bovaird, the 11 Steeles, the 18 Dixie, and the 26 Mount Pleasant.

As part of these changes, three weekday morning departures will be added to the 501 Züm Queen and the 18 Dixie from the Bramalea Transit Terminal.

The new departure times for the 501 are 6:03 a.m., 6:13 a.m. and 6:23 a.m., while the new departure times for the 18 are 6:15 a.m., 7:26 a.m., and 7:40 a.m.

The 4 and 4A Chinguacousy will be running every 15 minutes on weekday evenings as opposed to every 20 minutes, and northbound buses will be departing the Brampton Gateway Terminal at 11:45 p.m., 12:00 a.m., 12:11 a.m., 12:15 a.m., 12:30 a.m., 12:45 a.m., 1:00 a.m., 1:15 a.m., and 1:30 a.m.

The 26 Mount Pleasant will be returning to its regular late-evening weekday hours. Northbound buses will depart Mount Pleasant Village Station at 8:10 p.m., 8:50 p.m., 9:30 p.m., 10:10 p.m., and 10:50 p.m., while southbound buses will depart Clockwork Drive and Chinguacousy Road at 8:27 p.m., 9:07 p.m., 9:47 p.m., and 10:27 p.m.

The 11 Steeles’ 2:20 p.m. eastbound trip from Maple Lodge Farms will start in service from the Lisgar GO Station at 2:13 p.m.

As well, adjustments have also been made to 5 Bovaird’s Saturday and Sunday routes to improve reliability.

Mask mandates are still in effect on Brampton Transit buses, and eating or drinking aboard buses is prohibited unless it is a medical emergency.

Passengers are also encouraged to wash their hands frequently, use hand sanitizer, and practice physical distancing when possible.
