Changes are coming for millions of Bell customers in Canada, the company says, and it will likely be welcome news for many.
The company said that it is “expanding and enhancing” wireless services in 224 communities across the country by early next year.
That includes upgrading existing infrastructure and building new towers.
“Work is already underway in urban, rural and northern communities,” a news release said.
“These enhancements will deliver better coverage, faster speeds and greater reliability – helping Canadians stay connected, stream and game seamlessly and enjoy high-quality video calls.”
Bell said its wireless network currently provides coverage to more than 99 per cent of the Canadian population, with 89 per cent who can receive 5G/5G+.
The company said it has invested almost $24 billion since 2020 in wireless and pure fibre networks to expand coverage and improve service.
