Certain smoothies recalled in Mississauga, Brampton, Hamilton and beyond

Residents of Mississauga, Brampton, Hamilton and area are advised to double-check their home for Revive Superfoods smoothies as Health Canada recalls the product.

Revive Superfoods brand smoothies and oats

Risk: Certain Revive Superfoods brand smoothies and oats products are recalled due to a possible norovirus contamination of the raspberries used in these products.

The main symptoms of norovirus illness are diarrhea, vomiting, nausea, and stomach cramps. People with norovirus illness can have symptoms appear as early as 12 hours after exposure.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency initiated this recall due to test results. No cases of illness have been reported in relation to this recall.

The following flavours of Revive Superfoods smoothies are included in the recall:

  • Açaí Twist Smoothie 201 g
  • Berry Blü Smoothie 194 g
  • Berry Patch Oats 176 g
  • Coconut Cream Smoothie 190 g
  • Heart Beet Smoothie 207 g
  • Raspberry & Mango Smoothie 188 g
  • Strawberry Zen Smoothie 222 g

What you should do: Check if any recalled products are in the home. Dispose of the recalled product in the garbage or return it to the location where it was purchased from. Contact a doctor if symptoms of norovirus begin to appear.
