Mother’s Day is just days away (Sunday, May 9, 2021) and it’s another one that we’ll have to spend apart, thanks to a global pandemic.

So, how can we make this a special day for our moms?

Electric Diner on George St. in Hess village is offering a special Brunch Kit for pre-order and pick up on Sunday. The kit contains some of their signature Breakfast Club items and the makings for mimosas.

Rapscallion
In addition to their usual weekend take away dinner packages (which I’m sure mom would also love), Rapscallion (The Other Bird) is serving up special Mother’s Day brunch packages. There are two packages available: one that feeds two people and another that feeds four with options to add beer, wine or cocktails.

Caro is catering to busy moms with their delectable Feasts for two and four people. It truly is a feast: the menu includes starters, mains, sides, dessert and flowers for mom! There are plenty of mains to choose from so customizing to the mother you’re looking to wow, shouldn’t be a problem.

For plant-based meal options, look no further than Green Bar Hamilton for their Mother’s Day brunch packages. They are reasonably priced and contain a Tostada, peach cobbler upside-down cake and fresh fruit bowl with house-made granola and a smoothie. Baranga’s on the Beach
Baranga’s usually hosts an expansive Mother’s Day buffet but for obvious reasons, that’s not been possible the past two years. This year, however, they have their Mother’s Day Take Out that features a selection of their popular traditional dinners and a complimentary dessert. Orders must be placed by Friday (May 7).

Wild Orchid
One of Hamilton’s favourite Portuguese restaurants is taking Mothers Day pre-orders now. Choose from one of their regular menu or family-style platters but place orders before Sunday.

The Watermark Taphouse and Grill
The Watermark is offering a Mother’s Day prix fixe menu for $35.99 per person that offers a selection of entrees and desserts. Orders for their Mothers Day special will be taken up until Friday (May 7).

The Diplomat
The Diplomat and Equal Parts Hospitality are serving up a selection of tasty treats for mom. Choose from tasty salads, whole Quiches, scones, an amazing Seafood Brunch and Mimosa Kits. Flower bouquets are even available. They are currently taking preorders for pick up on Saturday or Sunday.
