CAUGHT ON VIDEO: Aftermath of fatal crash between motorcycle and MiWay bus in Mississauga

One person has been pronounced dead following a collision between a motorcycle and MiWay bus this afternoon in Mississauga.

Police were called at 1:39 p.m. for the incident, which happened in the area of Mavis Rd and Novo Star Dr.

A male was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Shortly after 3:00 p.m., police confirmed that he had succumbed to his injuries.

A large police presence remains at the scene, and Mavis has been closed between Derry Rd and Hwy 401.

Residents should continue to avoid the area.
