A stunt on the QEW has led to charges against both the driver and passenger of a car travelling through Hamilton.

According to the OPP, officers were alerted to the area of the QEW near Eastport Dr. just after 6 p.m. on Sunday (April 2) with reports that someone was standing up through the sunroof of a vehicle.

Officers intercepted the car and made two arrests.

A 23-year-old Kitchener man has been charged with dangerous driving while the passenger, a 23-year-old woman from Kitchener has been charged with not wearing a seatbelt.

Their names have not been released by police.

Last month a similar stunt on the Burlington Skyway was captured on film and widely circulated on social media. There have been no arrests in that case.
