Carjacker makes off with Burlington delivery driver’s Jeep

A person trying to make a delivery in Burlington had their vehicle taken away during an early morning carjacking.

According to Halton Regional Police, the driver of a 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee was stopping off in the area around Regina Dr. and Carol St. around 5 a.m. on March 7.

Police say when the driver got out of their vehicle they were approached by a man who started up a conversation.

After a brief discussion, the police say the suspect got into the victim’s drove off but not before a struggle ensued with the driver who was eventually knocked to the ground. The person was not seriously injured.

Later that day the vehicle was found abandoned in Hamilton.

Police say the carjacker was 25 to 30-years-old, 180 lbs, 5-foot-8 with a medium build.
