About you
We are looking for a Digital Marketing & Social Media Specialist to support the planning, execution, and optimization of both paid and organic marketing initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who is highly creative, detail-oriented, and excited to work across multiple channels including social media, paid ads, content creation, influencer campaigns, and email marketing. The role is hands-on, fast-paced, and involves producing a high volume of content for multiple brands. In addition to your knowledge and experience in social media, you’ll excel in this role if social media is not just a job but a personal passion of yours and also if trying new food and experiences is something that excites you.
Responsibilities
Digital Marketing Management – Sponsored
- Execute end-to-end paid campaign deliverables for clients across various platforms including but not limited to; Facebook, Instagram, Google, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
- Launch and manage paid campaigns focused on link clicks, traffic, video views, and lead generation.
- Monitor and optimize campaigns daily to achieve performance KPIs and use this data to prepare campaign performance reports.
- Create campaign assets including short-form videos, social posts, digital ads, contest materials, and all supporting copy (captions, ad copy, scripts, etc.) as well as articles or blog posts for online publications.
- Support influencer marketing programs, including outreach, pitching, negotiation, briefing, and content review.
- Build and deploy email marketing campaigns using MailChimp.
- Support additional digital marketing projects as assigned
Social Media Management – Organic
- Oversee and manage various social media accounts including but not limited to:
- developing monthly content calendars
- Producing and scheduling 20-25 pieces of daily content across all platforms
- Creating graphics, visuals and templates using Canva and Photoshop while maintaining brand guidelines
- Managing community engagement including comments, DMs and brand interactions across all channels
- Maintain organized digital asset libraries (photos, videos, templates, fonts, logos, overlays).
- Propose new content ideas, engagement strategies, and platform-specific growth tactics.
- Stay informed on new platform features, trends, soundbanks, and best practices.
- Track performance metrics and deliver monthly analytics reports.
- Participate in weekly creative meetings to pitch ideas and collaborate with the team.
Content Creating, Hosting & Video Producing – Organic and Sponsored:
- Produce short-form video content end-to-end: brainstorming, scripting, filming, editing and publishing.
- Coordinate shoot logistics, including location outreach, scheduling, and securing permissions.
- Develop scripts and storyboards for same-day or planned shoots.
- Host and assist in directing video shoots with the creative team or business owners.
- Film content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube (both on-camera and behind-the-scenes).
- Attend store/restaurant openings and provide live on-site coverage.
- Edit videos using CapCut, TikTok, and Instagram editing tools.
- Travel to various shoot locations across the GTA as needed.
- Host on-camera video content alongside a videographer, following prepared scripts.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in managing various social media accounts and platforms.
- 2+ years of experience managing ads through various platforms such as Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, LinkedIn Campaign Manager
- Skilled in creating short-form content and comfortable being on camera.
- Proficient with Canva; experience with Photoshop is an asset.
- Previous professional experience editing videos for social media using tools such as CapCut, Final Cut Pro, TikTok and Instagram
- Previous experience running and managing email marketing campaigns, preferably on MailChimp.
- Strong writing skills for social copy, ad copy, and scripts.
- Understanding of social media trends, algorithms, and best practices.
- Ability to analyze data and create clear reports.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to travel within GTA for shoots.
