Car impounded after Brampton driver busted speeding with child inside: police

Police have charged a Brampton driver after allegedly going 50 km/h over the limit with a young child in the car.

Around 5:00 p.m. on Sunday (April 30), Peel Regional Police posted on Twitter that officers with the Road Safety team had pulled over a driver in a posted 70 km/h zone.

The driver was clocked going over 120km/h and three other people were inside the vehicle including one young child, police said.

Police say the driver has been charged and the vehicle has been impounded. Police did not disclose any additional details about the accused.

Peel Regional Police have been cracking down on road safety violations and remind drivers to take the time to get to their destinations safely.
