Car hits e-bike in Mississauga

A cyclist has been rushed to hospital in serious condition after being struck by a car in Mississauga this morning (March 16).
Peel Regional Police say the crash happened around 6:20 a.m. on Thursday in the area of Mavis Rd. and Courtneypark Dr. in Mississauga.
Police say a car and an e-bike were involved in a collision and the adult cyclist suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries in the crash.
The cyclist was taken to hospital and police say all the vehicles involved in the incident remained at the scene of the crash.
The entire intersection at Mavis Rd. and Courtneypark Dr., which is just north of the Hwy 401 exit, will be closed while investigators are on scene. Residents are asked to avoid the area and drivers should find alternate routes if possible as the crash may affect traffic in Mississauga.
