A woman may have taken the term “carpool” a little too literally after crashing a car through a fence and ending up submerged in a swimming pool in Brampton.

The crash happened around 9:20 p.m. on Thursday (Sept. 28) according to Peel Regional Police, who say they received a call about a vehicle that had gone through a fence at a home in the area of Kennedy Road and Mayfield Road in Brampton.

Police say the vehicle came to a stop in a swimming pool and the adult female driver managed to climb out of the car before it became fully submerged.

Video of the aftermath posted to TikTok by user brampton.towing shows what appears to be a white two-door hatchback with water up to the windows with first responders on the scene.

Police say the driver was uninjured in the crash and no criminal charges have been laid.

The incident is at least the second time this month that a vehicle ended up in a Brampton yard.

A video posted online earlier this month shows a vehicle was caught on camera crashing through multiple backyards in the area of Great Lakes Drive and Demaris Drive in Brampton.

An adult male was charged with impaired driving following the crash, and no injuries were reported.
