Car drives into Devil’s Punchbowl in Hamilton killing lone occupant

A car drove off the edge of Devil’s Punchbowl in Hamilton, killing the single person inside.
Hamilton Police are releasing little information about the incident, but they do say it occurred at around 5:20 p.m. on Aug 19.
Reports say the vehicle went over the edge at the viewing platform and fell several hundred feet into the ravine.
The Hamilton Fire Department’s aerial drone unit was deployed.
There was only one person inside the vehicle, an adult male who was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Hamilton Police say no further information will be provided pending next of kin notification.
