Car crashes into pond in Mississauga

Police are investigating after a vehicle crashed into a pond this morning (July 17) in the central part of Mississauga, sending one person to hospital with undetermined injuries.
According to Peel Regional Police, a vehicle went into a pond at Hillcrest Ave. and Clayhill Rd., near Dundas St. W. and Mavis Rd., at about 11:30 a.m.
One male, whose age has not been released by police, was taken to hospital. The extent of his injuries are not yet known.
Police said there were no other occupants in the vehicle.
Motorists are urged to avoid the area and use alternate routes.
