A Canadian woman who landed a big lottery win is keeping her plans simple.

Parksville, B.C. resident Lee Ann Nahanee won $1 million in the May 28 Lotto 6/49 draw, the British Columbia Lottery Corporation announced in a media release.

Nahanee was at a gas station when the retailer checked the ticket for her.

“She turned to me and said, ‘you just won one million dollars,'” Nahanee recalled.

“I don’t even remember how I drove home; I was bawling. I kept saying ‘just get home, just get home.'”

She shared the news with her closest friends, who she describes as her “second family.”

“They were so happy for me. They know how much this meant for me,” Nahanee said.

To celebrate, she went out for breakfast with them.

And among her plans for the winnings, she says she wants to “play couch potato with the biggest pizza [she] could get.”

Nahanee said she also plans to invest money for retirement, and wants to buy a new car.

“I feel fan-freaking-tastic,” she said.

Meanwhile, this Wednesday’s Lotto 6/49 draw has the classic jackpot at its fixed $5 million, as well as the gold ball jackpot at $28 million, or the guaranteed $1 million prize.
