Canada’s Wonderland welcomed the public back Friday with their first full opening since the beginning of the pandemic.

The amusement park was open last year as well, but with public safety measures in place such as buying tickets in advance and ensuring all guests are vaccinated.

This season, Canada’s Wonderland has dropped many COVID-19 restrictions, welcoming guests to wear a face-covering but not making it mandatory.

The park has outlined a full line-up of summer events to come including three new food festivals and the return of long-weekend fireworks.

The food festivals taking place in August include Taste of Portugal, Taste of Ireland, and Taste of the Caribbean.

“With more than 200 attractions at the park, we’re known for thrills, but the return of our summer events really enriches the park experience,” said Norm Pirtovshek, general manager, in a press release.

“We’re really pleased to be able to provide our guests with a full season of fun once again.”

With the return of guests, Canada’s Wonderland launched a recruitment campaign in February to fill thousands of available positions.

The park is offering both seasonal and part-time positions in several different areas including guest services, maintenance, security and food service.
