Canada’s queen of R&B Jully Black to perform in Milton

Juno-award-winning singer Jully Black is set to take the stage in Milton.

Black, dubbed as “Canada’s Queen of R&B/Soul”, will perform at the FirstOntario Arts Centre Milton, 1010 Main St. E. on Friday Nov. 18.

Known for her top 10 hit, Seven Day Fool Black was named as one of “The 25 Greatest Canadian Singers Ever” (CBC Music).

She is a platinum-selling recording artist and performer; a Juno Award, Gemini Award, Toronto Theatre Critics Award and Dora Mayor Moore Award recipient.

Black is also a television and radio host, and she is a Canada’s Walk of Fame inductee. Fans of the Amazing Race Canada may have also caught her competing with her friend Kathy Hunter on this season’s show. They placed 10th in the race.

Her latest album, Three Rock and a Slingshot, was released in September

The show on Nov. 18 starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are $58 and available online.
