Canada’s largest street hockey festival returns to Mississauga

Canada’s largest street hockey festival returns to Mississauga this August and there is still time to join the fun.
The street hockey festival is open to people of all ages and experience levels, according to Mississauga Tourism who is hosting the event with Play On!.
“Whether you’re a returning street hockey champion or a curious novice who wants to try street hockey for the first time, there is a division for everyone,” Mississauga Tourism notes.

The festival is on Aug. 13 to 14 at Paramount Fine Food Centre and costs $49 to play for the weekend.
Players just need to bring sneakers and a hockey stick.

The festival also features interactive games, food, sponsor activations and special events, including a celebrity street hockey game. If you don’t want to play, there are opportunities to referee, be an event volunteer or just a fan cheering on the participants.
