Canada-wide warrant for federal offender who frequents Hamilton, Burlington, Oakville and Milton

The provincial police are asking for public assistance in locating federal offender George Hasler, who was living in Hamilton when he allegedly breached his release conditions last year.

Hasler is wanted on a Canada-wide warrant, according to release from the Ontario Provincial Police’s ROPE squad (Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement). He is described as a white man who is 57 years old and is six feet tall with 250 pounds. He is bald with brown hair on the sides and has brown eyes.

The OPP says Hasler is known to frequent the Hamilton and Halton area, which may include Burlington, Oakville and Milton.

He is serving a two-year, seven-month, 15-day sentence for a skein of criminal charges. Those include theft under $5,000; possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000; dangerous operation of a motor vehicle; driving while disqualified, theft of a motor vehicle; possession of controlled substances; and flight while pursued by a peace officer
