A Mississauga man is one of two new suspects being sought on Canada-wide warrants in connection with the vicious, high-profile December 2021 attack of a woman in Richmond Hill.

Sukhpreet Singh, 23, of Mississauga, and Jaspreet Singh, 24, of Delta, British Columbia, are both charged with aggravated assault and conspiracy to commit an indictable offence in connection with the attack on Elnaz Hajtamiri, 37, who was struck in the head with a frying pan in an underground garage near Yonge St. and Bantry Ave. on Dec. 20, 2021.

The victim required some 40 stitches to close the wound, but her injuries were not considered life-threatening.

York Regional Police, who revealed the identities of the two additional suspects at a news conference this morning (March 23), said the two wanted men are believed to still be in the country.

Meanwhile, a $100,000 reward exists for information surrounding the subsequent January 2022 abduction of Hajtamiri, who was taken from a Wasaga Beach home by three people dressed in police gear, one of whom is believed to be a woman.

Hajtamiri remains missing over one year later.

In total, seven people are now charged in connection with the 2021 attack and/or subsequent kidnapping, including the woman’s ex-boyfriend, Mohamad Lilo.

A 30-year-old Brampton woman was charged earlier this month in connection with the kidnapping.
