There will be plenty of Canada Day options in Durham Saturday, with entertainment (and fireworks) at venues in Pickering (Esplanade Park), Port Perry (Palmer Park), Whitby (Victoria Fields), Bowmanville (Garnett Rickard Recreation Centre), Uxbridge (Kinsmen Park), Ajax (Ajax Downs) and Oshawa (Lakeview Park).

Each of the municipalities promise family-friendly fun, entertainment and music, with Whitby’s party featuring food trucks, balloon artists and music from a variety of acts, including blues legend Jack De Keyser. Ajax’s activities at the race track and casino will also have live entertainment, cultural performances, games for the kids, beer and food vendors and a free shuttle service.

Pickering will be partying the day away with entertainment from Girl Pow-R, Wonder Phil Magician, Lexy the Rap Dad and the Pickering Caribbean Canadian Cultural Association – to name a few who will hit the stage at Esplanade Park.

There will also be roaming performers, a SuperDogs show, food trucks, carnival games, games for kids and a chance to ‘Skate the Esplanade.’

All Canada Day venues will also be hosting fireworks displays at dusk.
