There must be something in the water in Caledon as the town has landed on the top of a list of Canada’s happiest places to live.

Real estate company Point2 has put out a list of the happiest cities in Canada and found some particularly joyful folks in Caledon as the town made #1 on the top 100 list.

Point2 looked at 30 happiness-related metrics to rank municipalities, “including median after-tax income, poverty rate, perceived health, and a sense of belonging, as well as practical factors such as commute time, rainfall, and air quality.”

The five happiest cities on the list were all in Ontario with Milton, Halton Hills, Clarington and Burlington rounding out the top five respectively. But the unhappiest cities are all also in Ontario with London rounding out the list at 100 and North Bay following up at 99.

Brampton meanwhile found itself down the list with the #22 spot ahead of Strathcona County in Alberta and one spot behind Langley, B.C.
