A traffic complaint in Orangeville led to a man from Caledon facing a charge of operation of a motor vehicle while impaired.

On Monday (Jan. 31), around 11 a.m., the Dufferin Ontario Provincial Police department received a traffic complaint regarding a possible impaired driver. An officer located the vehicle in a parking lot in the area of Broadway and Centre Street. The officer spoke with the driver and was led into an impaired operation investigation.

Garett Reid, 41, of Caledon, has been charged with operation while impaired (alcohol and drugs).

None of the allegations have been proven in court. The accused is not scheduled to appear in court to answer to the charge until April.

The accused’s driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and their vehicle impounded for seven days.
