The Town of Caledon has lifted a parking ban after a weather warning on Tuesday.

The town said the “significant weather event” saw heavy snowfall of 15 cm within a 12-hour period and reduced visibility.

The Town typically issues parking bans if Environment Canada forecasts either a snowfall of 7 cm or greater, or dangerous ice conditions.

During a parking ban, all parking passes are no longer valid, and Parking Enforcement Officers will ticket and tow vehicles parked on town roads.

Residents and visitors should use extreme caution when using roads and sidewalks and avoid unnecessary travel during weather events and parking bans.
