Caledon cyclist seriously injured in crash with a pickup truck

A cyclist in Caledon has been rushed to hospital in life-threatening condition after being struck by a pickup truck.
Just before 12:30 a.m. on Wednesday (July 20), the Caledon OPP and emergency services responded to a collision involving a pickup truck and bicycle on Airport Road.
Police say the pickup was travelling southbound on Airport Rd. in the Mayfield Rd. area when the truck and cyclist collided.
The cyclist was transported to a local hospital and later taken to a trauma centre with life-threatening injuries. No other details about the cyclist were available from police.
The OPP Traffic Collision Investigation team has been brought in to investigate the crash, and police are asking anyone with information about the incident to contact investigators.
