Did someone say butter tart…festival?

Those who have a sweet tooth and enjoy trying different desserts may be excited to know that a butter tart festival with an artisan market is coming to Mississauga this weekend.

The event, called the Lakeview Mississauga East Butter Tarts, Sweet Treats & Holiday Festival, will take place on Nov. 6 at the Small Arms Inspection Building, located at 1352 Lakeshore Rd. East.

The festival will feature award-winning butter tarts from over 30 Ontario vendors, who will be on-site to present their creations.

And, if butter tarts aren’t your thing, there will be several other types of desserts to try including cupcakes.

Along with sweet treats, the event will also feature an artisan market with various vendors and crafters where attendees can pick up festive items or even start their holiday shopping.

Items for sale will include socks, hats and accessories, hand-knit items, handmade holiday decor including wreaths and figurines and more.

Admission to the festival is free and the event will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
