Busy season for residential road repairs starts next week in Milton

Drivers around Milton should be prepared for a summer of inconvenience as the town has upwards of two dozen road projects planned.

The annual Expanding Asphalt Program will see enhancements on numerous local, residential roads that include:

• Road construction and associated shouldering enhancements
• Driveway transitions
• Road crossing culvert cleanouts

The work will take place between June 1 and Sept. 2 and affected roads will often be reduced to a single lane. There will be traffic delays but access to all residences and emergency services will be maintained during construction.

“Town-led construction is essential municipal work to ensure Milton’s infrastructure remains safe, in state of good repair and able to meet the community’s needs now and in the future,” said a Town spokesperson.
