A busy QEW off-ramp in Mississauga will be closed to traffic for parts of three nights tonight (Aug. 18) through early Sunday morning as crews install a new storm sewer pipe under the road.

Officials with the QEW/Credit River Improvement Project, who are overseeing the massive undertaking to rehabilitate the highway bridge over the river, say the latest related work will affect the QEW westbound off-ramp to Mississauga Rd.

The off-ramp will be closed tonight (Aug. 18) from midnight to 2 a.m., and again on Friday and Saturday nights, from 11 p.m. to 9 a.m. the following mornings.

Project officials say traffic disruptions are anticipated due to the off-ramp closure to allow for nighttime construction.

Closures are dependent on the weather.

As work continues on the massive Credit River bridge project, drivers and area residents can expect ongoing traffic disruptions to impact part of the QEW and other areas in the vicinity of Mississauga Rd. and the highway in the coming weeks and months.

Night and weekend work along the 2.6-km stretch of the QEW from Hurontario St. to Mississauga Rd. is expected to impact traffic for the duration of construction.
