Busy Hamilton overpass closing for bridge work

Commuters in northeast Hamilton will face a slight change to their route for much of October.

The City of Hamilton says it will close the eastbound lanes of the Burlington Street East overpass between Gage Ave. N. and Sherman Ave. N. on Monday (Oct. 4). The work will take about four weeks and is expected to be finished on or before Nov., weather permitting.

Motorists can continue to travel east around the overpass closure by staying on the Burlington St. E. surface roadway.

Neither westbound traffic not Hamilton Street Railway bus routes will be affected by this work.
